Difficulty Taking Attachments Off Power+

I have the PH1400 that came with the EA0800. I also bought the string trimmer attachment, STA1500.  Sometimes after using the different heads, I have extreme difficulty taking them off the shaft.  At times it is almost impossible.  Any ideas what is wrong?  They go on easy enough and click into place.

Hi Luddy
It is a 2 step process to remove an attachment.
1. loosen the wing knob
2. press and hold the shaft release button

Make sure you are doing them both and in that order.

Yes, exactly what I do.  I tried attaching and reattaching both heads shortly after making this post and no issues.  It really seems to be a problem after using the tool to do actual work where I have a problem getting them apart.

Maybe things are heating up and expanding a bit making a bit of an interference fit? Are they easier to disconnect once they've sat for a few minutes? Seems you answered that question in your above post, but just wondering about how long you'd have to wait to be able to change tools.

I'll have to check next time I use a tool.  It is getting colder out so not sure how much more I will use them.  I actually have't used the string trimmer other than to run it for a about a minute to make sure it worked.  I usually try and take the until apart once done so I can hang the parts up so I've never really left it sit too long before trying to get them apart.  I do know the plastic piece inside the trimmer head attachment was actually turned a bit from my trying to get it apart and I had to use pliers to shift it back in place where it belonged.

Apply a little white lithium grease under the release button and to the top of the shaft of the device being connected
