I am very confused as to what all the differences are between the various versions of 15" 56 volt lawn trimmers. There are literally 10 on the home depot website and all seem 99% the same. So, what are the differences between the ST1500, ST1500-S, ST1500SF, ST1501-S, and ST1502-SF?? I just need it for my front and back yard so it doesn't need to be anything too fancy.

-SF models have the new Rapid Reload head, and they come in either straight shaft or split shaft models.

The original non-RR head models are discontinued as far as I know. There may still be availability.

Other than that you just choose what size battery you need with a kit, or just get the bare tool if you already have batteries and chargers.

And it's important to know the split-shaft models are not designed that way to fold up for storage. They were designed that way to fit in smaller, easier to transport boxes. Once you get them home the shaft bolts together permanently.

I've had one for more than two years and it has remained as solid as they day I bought it.
