And use of other blades will generally not give great results and does void your warranty.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Dethatching blade.

Do you sell a dethatching blade for this mower? I love the mower but was disappointed today when my universal dethatching blade would not fit on this mower. I do not see one for sale but based on other posts I've read your customers clearly want more blade options.....

I called the Customer Service about dethatching blade. He said that he will submit the request to the corporation about it. If we call the Customer Service about dethatching blade and the corporation sees the number of request for it, the more the better to get it made.
Call them!

Well, I just purchased the mower after much research. Consumer Reports best buy, so I went with it. My 1st question was 'Do you sell a dethatching blade?' I wish I could have seen this prior to the purchase. I am calling their customer relations as soon as I finish this comment. Inasmuch as the oldest mention is 3 years old, it might be time for all to call again now!

There is no dethatching blade.

Closest thing to an Ego dethatcher is the power head with the bristle brush attachment.

FWIW, You can buy an electric dethatcher from sun joe et al then use ego battery and 120v attachment to make it "cordless". Can't speak to battery life (as I use d-thatch to chemically do it, from a company called green country fert), but if you have a couple of 7.5mah I bet it's decent.

I adapted the one with the orange strings in it and the EGO didn't like it as I only got 20 min. out of the battery so I put the dethatcher blade back on my old gas mower.
