Continuing Professional Use without Problems

I continue to put the hours on my Ego equipment and still with zero equipment breakdowns this year. I, like LeHigh, run the powerhead trimmer mainly now but unlike Lehigh I run it mainly with a backpack link and 7.5 battery.

There is a thread running about brush cutter on a ego whatever. I can tell you I have been crushing the Himalayan blackberries lately with a brush cutter blade I put on a string trimmer attachment. I run a two point with ends turned down design....devastating on brush. I run the power head on 1 power and don't force it. Basically trying to avoid the big repeated shocks.

I continued to do feet after feet of hedges....some well kept....some overgrown with branches easily approaching the rated limit of the brushless hedge trimmer. Even the one I dropped off my trailer going 35 mph down the road is running without a hiccup

My blowers turn on every time. That's enough. Little tip for blowing out beds in tight conditions.....take the tube off. Unlike gas blowers, which suffer from taking the tube off, the Ego doesn't care....runs the same.

When I run my power head unit with various attachments they all work well with no oddities. Attachments points are still strong with no apparent wear showing.

Kinda boring report. But take note to those of you having problems...stick with Ego...because you malfunctioning tool may just be a fluke. If Ego continues to improve and continue to innovate and possibly gets heavier into commercial offerings they are positioned to do very well.

That’s the best “boring” report I’ve read in a long time, Jeremy! Thanks for sharing!!!

Yep, with enough interest I don’t see why they wouldn’t offer it here.

This is good to hear. I put a premium on my "toys" lasting.

I tend to buy better-quality stuff --- computers, smartphones, electronics, kitchen appliances, you name it --- with the satisfaction of knowing I'm not going to have to replace it every two years. It also helps me avoid "upgrade fever."

I've had my Ego lawn mower --- the first Ego tool I bought --- for three seasons now and it's still going strong.

Upgrade fever, eh? Can I get a prescription for that?

Take 2 carbon fiber string trimmers and call me in the morning.

Mmmm... I do need more fiber in my diet!

Really knocking it down takes a 7.5 Ah battery.

Although my current dilemma is more drone related. It's probably going to come with a $1,300 price tag!
Do you have a link to the brush cutter blade you’re using?

Hey Mike look up brush blender on eBay to get a look at the design. Not the same brand but same design. The one I run is, I believe, is a 10 inch version. I will try to get the exact model that I use in the next day or two.

Nothing compares to this design.

Hey guys....thought I'd give a short update on how my Ego products are holding up.

Depending on the truck i/we run the following tools:

530, 575 and back pack blower

Brushed and brushless hedge trimmer

16 " chainsaw

15" String trimmer

Power Head unit plus all attachments.

Lots of batteries.....enough to run as hard and long as we need.

I don't live in leaf country so no problem with lack of top end power with blower options.

Zero equipment breakdowns with three battery issues.

Real happy with Ego handhelds with durability and adequate power.
