Conflicted regarding my new Ego snowblower

I have been hoping for warm weather to continue until Saturday when I got my new snowblower.
Now I am very conflicted and hoping for snow when I look at this glowing green beauty.  Looking forward to a much cheerier disposition when I wake up to snow this winter.

With the two 5.0 batteries I now have a nice inventory of power.

I had to put off buying the snowblower last year because of some unexpected roof repairs. Just as well; we ended up not having any significant snowfall last year in Iowa.

I know I'll need the snowblower eventually because Iowa usually gets blasted.  But at this point I'm holding off until I see winter actually show up on my driveway.

I'm still jealous!

My procrastination paid off last year as we didn't get too much snow in the Chicago area.  But I figured my luck could not make it thru another winter in Chicago.

I’m having our lot cleared as we speak:

At some point in the future I’ll be getting that snowblower for sure!!!

Well with that big yellow shovel you really don't need a snow blower. :)

At his daily rate I couldn’t afford to keep him hanging around! :-)

Szwoopp - green lights and all it looks ready to go! I'm in the SW burbs of Chicago. My son is in Naperville and we saw some snowflakes Saturday morning.

Years ago I had a curved paddle Toro. It was 12 years old and ready for retirement. I found a good deal on a Sears 24" 2-stage gasser. I've had it 3 seasons and hate it. For my size drive and sidewalks it's too big. I also like the lightness of the Toro. Can you lift the blower easily?

I haven't really lifted it other than out of the box, so hard to say.  It seemed on the heavy side to be lifting it regularly while working with it, but as I said not really certain.  I recall constantly lifting a flat paddle toro we had when I was a teenager, but this Ego is a bigger machine than that toro with a much larger mouth, so it likely would not need to be lifted constantly.

Oh my gosh szwoopp!!!  Mine delivered today.  What a fine looking machine.  I can't wait for snow.  Thinking of throwing our shredded paper on the driveway and go after it!

szwoopp/JWBozo - I've had my eye on these blowers since I purchased my mower this past spring. szwoopp I see you bought the package with 5.0 batteries and not the 7.5 and was wondering why until I saw the pricing. Ego must be pushing the 5.0 batteries because to me the package with 7.5 batteries is a little over $100 overpriced if you look at what the bare batteries are selling for. Looks like the 5.0 is the way to go?

Won't be sure the 5.0 was the right choice until I use it and it makes it thru the job.
Not sure how my secondary set of  7.5 and 2.5 will perform either as they recommend - For best performance, recommend for use with 2pcs 4.0Ah or higher Ah batteries.
Time and use will tell if the 7.5 kit would have been a better choice.

Oh boy - you guys helped me spend some EGO $ on a snow blower. My Home Depot's had the 5.0AHr snow blower kits in stock, got a $5 coupon by email today, this is match Menards 11% rebate week, and best of all my wife approved the purchase! (doing the snow dance right now)

Fired it up and like the other EGO's nice and quiet. The shoot rotation lever is very clever. My wife says it looks easy enough for her to use (she could never start my gas snow blowers - or didn't want to).
