Comment and a question about how much I love EGO

I purchased my mower, string trimmer, and blower at the beginning of April after having a lawn service previously at this house. Frankly, I got tired of them not showing up when they were supposed to, I like doing it myself, and I also like the exercise. And, I have also recouped almost 20% of my investment already. As I've commented previously, I'm very happy with my purchase and just wondering how sales of the equipment are going.

I don't know how sales are going but it seems that there's always plenty of stock when I happen to drop by Home Depot.  I talk to the sales people and most haven't sold one of the mowers.  They say people look at it, then they see the price tag and go buy a gas mower for the same price or less.

I can understand why they do since they're so used to gas.  People are creatures of habit.  As long as they see a $500 mower that runs on batteries and a great Honda mower sitting next to it, they're mostly going to go with the Honda mower.

I'm glad I made the switch from gas but for most people outside of these forums, they will never even give the mower a chance.

The mower is worth every penny of the $500 I paid for it so far but the price does need to drop and there needs to be more advertising.  On top of that, the 7.5ah battery needs to come with it so it can compete side by side with a gas mower on run time.

I was paying the yard service $25 a week (small yard) and with 30 or so weeks of mowing, I fully agree that the mower is worth every penny of the price! And, my yard looks better than ever.

No one is going to care for your yard like you will so I'm sure it does look better than ever.  You're not trying to finish up in order to get to the next yard...lol.
