Cleaning the underside of the Ego Mower

I have not yet purchased an EGO mower; close to making the purchase.  While the on-line manual says not to get the motor and battery areas wet, can you carefully wash the underside of the mower deck with a water stream to remove the grass before storage.  Maybe an air stream from a compressor would be best.  I see some posts have used a commercial nonstick spray.  Thoughts or experiences in this area?

Water won't hurt the deck, but Ego advises against hosing out the mower as there's an air vent for the motor that's not designed to ingest large quantities of water.

Lots of people are using various sprays to help keep grass clipping from building up. I just scrape the deck with a plastic scraper a few times per season, but perhaps that wouldn't be practical for someone who has grass that sticks more than mine.

Search around on the forum here, you'll find lots of info.

Fastforward, just stay away from excessive water, as well as anything pine- or lemon-based. Also, you might find this conversation helpful: https://community.egopowerplus.com/ego/topics/how_do_i_clean_the_ego_power_mower
