There's no off topic forum on here, I dunno if this is allowed or not, sorry if not. I just wanted to say Chervon produces some good cordless power tools for craftsman. I own a few, 19.2v ones. Reciprocating saw, 1/4 impact driver, and a beast of a 1/2 brushless drill/driver.

I've been using them a lot this past year to fix up my house and remodel a bathroom and other stuff!

Yeah, Chervon is a huge company that makes tons of tools for lots of different brands.

When I first heard of Ego I had no idea who they were... a buddy of mine told me he'd been looking at an Ego mower and I pretty much wrote them off just because I'd never heard of them. Then later that year I got thinking about a cordless mower for my small lawn and started researching.

I read some reviews and then researched Ego's battery system and I was kinda hooked. Then I found out how big Chervon was and how long they'd been around, and that pretty much sealed the deal.

The icing on the cake was that the mower stored upright and I could keep it in my small garage. SOLD!!!

I'm not sure if it was Craftsmans doing, or contract up or what, but they just discontinued the best 1/2 C3 drill they've ever had. Brushless, metal gear box, 2 speed, adjustable 22 point clutch, and 600in-lbs of torque.

It mixed a 25lb bucket of thinset no problem. I'm not sure who actually makes the batteries though.

I grew up with Sears Craftsman tools, before switching over to EGO power tools.  For as long as I can remember, I bought only Craftsman tools (lawn mower, edger, power washer, leaf blower, water hoses, and hand tools).  One of the main reasons was their Lifetime Guarantees for all their products.  That said; I do hope SB&D continues the great tradition of Craftsman tools - hate to see them leave the market.

Too bad Craftsman doesnt pick up ego for their private label lawn equipment.

That would be awesome if they did, but curious to what the new name would be?
