Charger is not lighting up

My father gave me an eGo blower with the battery and the charger.  The light on the battery does display red but the no lights on the charger.  How can I determine if it is the charger or the battery before I spend money to troubleshoot?

You don't need to spend any money troubleshooting. Give Ego customer service a call and they'll help you troubleshoot. The blower and battery should still be under warranty, so they'll send you out a new battery or charger, whichever is determined to be defective.

I would recommend calling Ego earlier in the day before they get busy: 1-855-EGO-5656 (1-855-346-5656) from 8:30AM - 8:00PM EST (Monday - Friday) & 10:00AM - 6:00PM EST (Saturday & Sunday).
