Can edger be used on curved edging/borders?

Are edgers for only straight or can it be used on curved borders or would the blade get crushed on the curbing?    I assume it would be hitting the curbing, not familiar with edgers.

Depending on the edging yes. If it is a relatively vertical concrete edge then yes.....Stick edgers actually do really well here. Just ride the rail and take your time so that you are in the right position and comfortable. Just make sure you continue following the curve or your edge will get wide.

I have a small tree surrounded by stonework, the circle is about 5ft in diameter (2.5ft radius). That’s about the tightest radius I’d recommend trying to edge. It takes some concentration and patience to get it right, but it looks nice when it’s done. :-)

Note that doing the "outside" of the circle isn't an issue, as the blade won't come near the edging. It's the "inside" of the circle where if the circle is too tight the blade could conceivably hit.
