Official Response
Leo, since EGO has a 3 Year Limited Warranty on batteries and a 5 Year Limited Warranty on their tools, I don't see the need to buy the Home Depot Extended Warranty.  Since becoming an EGO customer at the beginning of last year, I have had to replace a "defective" charger and a battery.  Both times, EGO Customer Service took care of me and got my replacements "very quickly."

If your question is in regards to non EGO power tools, then the answer is NO as well.  As I see this as another way for Home Depot to make extra money on your purchases.  That said; every company I have ever purchase products from, will try to get me to buy their Extended Warranty.  And my answer will always be NO - this is my personal preference, but also curious to what others are doing as well.

I, always say no to the extended warranties.  That form of self insurance makes economic and common sense.
