I did NOT damage the blade by the usage it got today for approx 45 minutes of cutting hedges. I have another trimmer that has been used for more than 10 years and it has not one gauge in the blades. I recently purchased a Corona tool from Amazon and it had a badly ground blade which I fixed myself but the hedge trimmer's flat blade defect isnt something I can or should fix. Considering returning this hedge trimmer to home depot and purchasing another. Anyone have any idea why there are so many gouges in the blade? Remember: I did NOT cut anything that would have caused this damage. I noticed the gouges when I was spraying the blade with lube for the second time (about the 45 minute mark of it's "maiden voyage")
