Agreed customer tech support zero help. Even had me send screenshots and no response guess we're on our own for this one....

I had trouble initially, but once I made sure my phone was connected to my home Wi-Fi network the Bluetooth connected without a problem. I don't know for sure whether it was just a coincidence or not.

What kind of phone are you using and what OS is it running?

I purchased 2 of these and both have initially connected to Bluetooth and then a nogo on WiFi. Restarted both and then they did the same thing. On the third try Bluetooth doesn’t come on for the Nexus. iPhone 8 with 12.4.1.

Bluetooth works just not showing. Connect your phone to 2.4ghz and go through the WiFi setup from the app. If your ssid’s are the same then you need to rename 2.4 ghz and do it or temp rename 5ghz and link and change 5ghz name back to original.

Cheers,
Sam

Kris,
The Bluetooth connection is a known problem with EGO.  Initially the unit will connect via bluetooth but once you connect it to a wifi network this is where the connection problems start.  This has been confirmed with the EGO product managers and engineers.  They claim that this will be fixed with the next firmware update.  However I have been waiting for over 6 months for the "new firmware".  While I love the product it does me no good when the wifi is down.  I was told since the product was purchased at Home Depot I had a year to return it if they don't fix the bug by then.
