Blinking orange lights on EGO go off sometimes when trying to start mower.

My EGO mower will randomly blink orange lights for 5 seconds when I try to start it some times.  I understand that the blinking lights indicate that the mower is being over worked but what I don't understand is why sometimes when I go to use it after it has sat for several days, or even as short as several minutes, when I try to start the mower I get the orange blinking lights but if I try immediately again after one or two more tries the mower starts.  Not sure why this mower is doing this and if there is a way to correct this.  Does anyone know how to fix this or what could be causing these inconsistencies in the warning lights?

Official Response
Sorry you are experiencing this.
If you bought your mower at Home Depot within the last 90 days you can return it and exchange it.
If more than 90 days, give customer service a call. Your mower has a 5 year warranty and the battery and charger have 3 year warranty. They will help you. Call early in the day to avoid hold times.
They can be reached at 1-855-EGO-5656 (1-855-346-5656) from 8:30AM - 8:00PM EST (Monday - Friday) & 10:00AM - 6:00PM EST (Saturday & Sunday).

I am noticing the same behavior more and more as my mower ages (I've had it one year).  I just sat there for 5 minutes doing this startup routine repeatedly about 10 times.  Then I rolled the mower back to the garage and pressed it one more time and it started up.  Some kind of malfunction or obstruction detection?  This is a 100% charged battery and cold mower just starting up after a week of sitting.  Makes a slight startup noise, then goes blinking green and orange for a few seconds.  Won't respond until the blinking stops.

I’ve found that if I press the start button firmly and slowly pull back the break bar it starts every time. In my case it appears to be a poor contact in the start button. .

Hey guys and gals I had that problem and it got worse had the 21 inch ego still under warranty they had to put in new board and motor because both was sending false readings to the heat resister in and by the motor. that cured every thing  But both need to be changed out problem started about 6 months after i purchased the machine Just got back last week.
