I thought Greenworks 60V was 7.3 pounds and EGO 530 is 7.4.
Where are the backpack blowers?

Thanks man. What a pity, it seems that some units did not live up to their specs.

how shocking is the ECHO result?

One word... okay, one sentence. The Echo unit is junk. It doesn't even live up to its power specs. 550 CFM at 145 mph is a little over 20 Newtons. 575 CFM at 120 mph is 17.5 Newtons. Echo falls so short of 20 Newtons its not even funny, and then to get that little of runtime is pathetic.
The EGO 575 unit puts out air speeds of 142 mph with the flat attachment. I calculate that with the flat attachment, it can put out no more than 485 CFM assuming that the flat attachment does not increase the force put out by the unit.

Newton....you mean fig :)
I was surprised to see the EGO 5Ah out perform the 2.5Ah not only in run time but shear lift force.

The 2.5Ah packs struggle to handle the current that the 530 and 575 units draw from them. The cells just do not seem quite up to the job. They can barely handle the 530 unit and really cannot handle the 575 unit. By using the 5Ah pack, the current draw is divided amongst two strings of 14 cells instead of just one string, as a result, the cells of the 5Ah pack are not stressed as much as the cells of the 2.5Ah pack. Also, of course, the 575 unit is 2.8 Newtons stronger than the 530 unit, and one draws 750 watts while the other draws about 850 watts.
A sidenote, the 2Ah packs can actually handle more current than the 2.5Ah packs. The 2Ah cells just can handle more current draw than these 2.5Ah cells.

Love the video KA. I have the 575 CFM and absolutely love it. I find myself using it more than my EGO 600 CFM. It's so quick and easy to use everytime. The power is more than adequate for weekly yard work, and occasionall stubborn leaves on the lawn ... nothing it can not handle.

Thanks David.....I like to make vides that tell a story and require very little narration to do so.

Neat video and great demonstration. You make me feel good about my recent purchase of a 575 Ego.

Kobalt is spelled with an A, the product is right in front of him. Interesting but would someone pls tie his hands down before he flies away. Annoying like a snake oil salesman.
