Check out this new review by Pro Tool Reviews on 16 different brand names battery-powered OPE.  Both the EGO 530 & 575 CFM were in the mix, and of course, both MPH & CFM was part of the overall evaluation of each blower, plus Newton Force.

Congratulations to both EGO 530 & 575 CFM for taking 1st and 4th place overall!!!

1ST PLACE:  EGO 530 CFM

PROS
  • Third highest Newton force
  • Best value
  • Excellent warranty
  • Excellent CFM
  • Second quietest
CONS
  • No cruise control
  • Low MPH
  • Overmold seam can irritate fingers
The Bottom Line:

EGO’s 530 CFM blower takes a backseat to their 575 CFM model in Newton force but is really an excellent blower in its own right. Reasonable Newton force at WOT combines with top 3 power when you hit the turbo button. The result is a solid showing in the runtime department with the power to work around stubborn debris.

EGO does nothing but cordless OPE and they have one of the most complete and highest performing lines available. Even though this isn’t the most powerful in our Best Cordless Blower Shootout, its consistently high rankings make it the best overall.

The negatives of the 575 model (ergonomics) concern me.  Additional reasons to go with the backpack model, IMO.

I have both the 575 & 600 CFM and I would have to agree with you.  I always have to use the "shoulder strap" with the 575 - whereas the backpack blower, it is more comfortable for me.  On the flip side, I like the convenience of the 575 CFM for a quick clean up job around the garage and driveway.

I don't see how the 530 can score higher than the 575 for ergonomics... they're the same tool design. If anything the cruise control on the 575 would be an advantage IMO.

If the 575 5Ah kit was priced at $299 as it should be IMO, the 575 would/should have placed much higher than 4th.

Not to take anything away from the accomplishment, that is! Ego pretty much dominates the cordless blower category. :-)
