Help--I mow 59 minutes with the 7.5 battery. My lawn boy gets 30 minutes even when he mows at slowest speed and I've told him stop starting and stopping the motor frequently. I bought a second 5.0 battery to give more time but he ran out both in an hour. Any ideas what else he is doing differently than me to use up power?

Maybe your overlapping more and therefore the mower isn't boosting into high speed all the time but rather strolling along at a more efficient rate.

Sue, he could be using the self propel at a higher speed, cutting at a lower height, stopping and starting (as you suggested).

Is he mulching and you are discharging/bagging? Is the grass longer when he mows? The 7.5 should be lasting longer than 30 min, especially if it acts normal when you're using it.

Strange. Maybe you need to spy on him?

Yep. Especially if your paying him by the hour. Kids be thieves. Or he doing what David said above

Definitely worth checking, but would be ruled out in A/B/A testing where one user gets twice the run time.
