56V 4.0Ah battery is defective and will not charge. When inserted into the charging station, it will begin the charge and quickly begins to stop - light turns yellow then red. No "running" noise and all lights remain at red.

I have attempted to troubleshoot multiple times and have called customer service, waiting on hold and not able to speak with a live person. I will take the unit into Home Depot and speak with a manager if I can not get this resolved - very frustrating, as this was not an inexpensive purchase.

Christina, if you can manage to get someone on the phone I'm sure they will look after you asap. They have been busy lately, and this is the weekend so are probably more busy than usual.

If you have your tools registered they can likely have a replacement on its way to you immediately. If you are beyond your return window at HD there likely isn't anything the store can do.
