Just started using the Ego products and I'm pretty impressed. Picking up the mower soon to add to the collection. As an electronics enthusitist I am interested in using the Ego 56V batteries in my smaller robotic projects. Where can I get technical info on the chargers and batteries please? I suppose I can tear the stuff apart and reverse engineer it but it would be easier if I had the schematics. Thank you....

I spoke with one of their engineers a while back.  Found out that there are electronics in the battery pack that allow it to know what EGO device it is plugged into.  It's sort of a "smart pack".  I don't think you could just draw power from it without the pairing electronics.  Maybe someone with a dead mower could give you the control board and battery mount.

Most importantly, it would probably damage the onboard electronics and probably void the warranty.  The packs are quite expensive, I wouldn't mess with them.

With the competitive nature of this industry, I don't think they would give away their trade secrets.  They have one of the most advanced battery packs I've worked with.

Hi Martin, thanks for your note.  As Blue and SCDC mentioned, unfortunately, we are not at liberty to release schematics or other technical information on our batteries and chargers at this time.  We hope you understand that this type of information is proprietary.
