Got my new trimmer yesterday and after assembling it, I went to charge the battery.  It was bad. Kept blinking red. I tried it on my lawn mower charger and the same thing.  EGO customer service is sending me a new one.  There was no hassle and were very courteous. I did have to sit on hold for quite a long time.  But.. am glad one is on the way.  I wondered if it didn't get hot as it was a warm day and the UPS man had it all day on his truck.
