Interesting find.  Sure looks like it is in the works.   Wouldn't really be a surprise for me though, there has been some conversations about this throughout the past year.

That explains the unique appearance of the EGO backpack battery, and I will probably find a way to get my hands on that backpack battery. I really wish that it had two cords so I can connect two 530CFM blowers to it.

Yes, we are working on bringing this backpack battery system to the North American market. It's currently available in Europe where it's in its initial release. More information to come when this is actually confirmed for North America.
