Is it better to keep the battery on charger cooler (basement, etc) or warmer (inside the house)? Will this affect battery life?

Room temperature is the best charging condition for your battery.  For best results, your battery should be charged in a location where the temperature is greater than 32°F (0° C) and less that 104°F (40° C). Do not store it outside or in vehicles.
