So, I use EGO batteries to power a telescope, and was wondering if it would be possible to have a 1.75 Ah EGO battery that way the Wh < 100 so it can be brought aboard an Airplane?

Interesting.  How do you get the power from the Ego battery to your telescope ?

The telescope runs at 56V and I made a custom adapter.

To do that they would need smaller cell batteries. Probably hard to get as everything is getting more sense. Almost like you need 2 28v batteries. Then connect in series

The 2Ah battery is real close. Ego’s “max” voltage is advertised as 56V, but the nominal pack voltage is actually 50.4V (3.6 x 14). So in reality, the 2Ah battery is 100.8Wh.

Not that it really matters since the rating on the battery is 112Wh, and that’s all the feds will care about.
