A stand alone lawn edger

I LOVE the EGO product line!  But I have an issue with my Stihl lawn edger.  It is TOO heavy & cumbersome.  Also at 5'5" it is too long for me to manage properly without creating neck & shoulder strain.  I saw the Black & Decker Edge Hog Electric Lawn Edger and it is exactly what I am looking for!  An edger that sits on the ground so I do not have to hold the weight of the machine as I edge. My neighbor bought a used one that sits on the ground but it is gas operated.  Might EGO develop something like this.  It sure would be a nice tool to have so I can edge everything without having to schedule a chiropractic adjustment & a massage after working with that Stihl I own. I know that you have the Power + Multi Tool but I fear that length will be an issue with my height and the fact that it has to be held to operate.  I am not able to find the weight of the multi Tool with the edger.

Hi Delores! Thank you for writing in. We do not currently have plans for a separate edger. However, we do totally understand where you're coming from regarding the Power Head. We suggest heading to Home Depot or your local EGO dealer to get a little hands-on insight. Also, we encourage you to check out the user reviews posted in this forum for further usage perspective. In the meantime, the weight of the Power Head + edger + 2.5Ah battery 13.96 pounds.
