Just ordered the 5AH battery.  Has anyone used this before?

I want to confirm it is compatible with the blower, 15" trimmer and mower.

Also looking to see if anyone has tested run times on the above products using the 5AH battery versus 4AH Batt.

In your opinion is the 5AH worth the extra $50 bucks?  Should I have spent another $100 and just gotten the 7.5?

Any of the batteries work with any of the tools, so compatibility is not an issue. The key factors that you need to evaluate for your particular needs are size/weight, run/charge time, and price.

The 7.5Ah battery is nearly 50% heavier than the 4Ah or 5Ah, which are the same weight. I prefer to use the handheld tools with the 2Ah battery personally, but I think the 4Ah is manageable. Also, the 5Ah charges on the rapid charger in roughly the same time as the 2.5Ah on the standard charger (40 minutes), but the 7.5Ah takes 50% longer (1 hour).

Unless I got an incredible deal on one of the first generation batteries, I would definitely only consider the new second generation batteries that all provide 25% more juice with no added size or weight over their first generation counterparts. The 5Ah is probably the most versatile and efficient battery overall, but if its runtime falls just slightly short of your mowing needs, the 7.5Ah is probably the best battery, but for the mower only.
