I charge my 56v battery and it shows fully charged. I put it in my mower and it starts and in about 3 seconds it stops and shows the battery as dead. I put the battery back on the charger and in 30 seconds it shows as fully charged. Help>\!!

Make sure the handle clips are not loose as the mower usually stops if they are loose.  I am talking the clips halfway down the sides that compose the handle that is pushed on.

Kurt, do you have another Ego tool you can use to try to determine if the issue lies with the battery or the tool?
