I have used my snow blower 3 times very successfully and very happy about it's performance including yesterday. We had more snow last night and I went out this morning...nothing. The auger is not stuck and the lights will not even turn on. I had charged both batteries this morning.
I called customer service and without any question they are sending out a new one to me. I am happy about that but disappointed that there is an issue and I have to wait 5-10 days for my new one.
I then had to go out and shovel in -3F weather for 90 minutes. Not thrilled about that but at least I got my workout in for the day.
They are asking for the old unit back and I hope they do some digging into it to find the issue and fix it. I really want their products to work well and most importantly, I do not want my father-in-law to think my battery craze is as weak as he thinks it is.

@Eric Kassebaum - as for your father-in-law, don't feel like you need to prove anything to him. Many *ahem* "mature" folks have a hard time letting go of how things used to be. They all think we should burn gas forever and that there's nothing wrong with fossil fuels, etc. You'll never change their minds, no more than you'd change someone's political affiliation or religious beliefs even when you present a perfectly level-headed argument to the contrary.
You made the right choice going with an EGO. They'll get you sorted and take care of you, and you'll be back to lithium-ion awesomeness in no time!
