Does the new brushless mower really have that much more power?  I'm new to the ego world but thought of exchanging my single 21" SP in for a the Dual.

I really don't have a large lawn,  I just want the more power for a better cut.

It has more power and certainly more run time (not an issue for you).

How much more power? Not sure exactly what that answer is but...

We have a user that posted here that he saw a noticeable power increase.  He stated that he previously got some orange overload warnings and visible cut grass left behind with his standard Ego mower.  When he got the dual battery mower he no longer experienced those issues.

So, it sounds like it is certainly a noticeable difference in power.  Which makes sense base on the dual batteries and the peak power technology.

Official Ego statement here - if you have not seen it.

Think it will help with the poor mulching and leftover stragglers that are reported all the time?

Here is some info given my Ego's representative.

Hello EGO Community! We’d like to take this opportunity to clear the air regarding our new Dual Battery Mower. Since there has been a great deal of interest and a bit of confusion surrounding this mower, let’s jump into the facts straightaway.

-This mower’s motor is brushless.
-This mower is rated at 1200W.
-This mower’s PeakPowerTM technology delivers more torque, longer run times, and a more efficient power draw.
-This is the most powerful brushless motor in the entire EGO Power+ mower lineup.

You’ll want to note that all of these statements have been confirmed by our engineering team. Also, the Steel Deck Self-Propelled Mower is rated at 1000W. Our apologies for any misunderstanding.

Just to let everyone know that Home Depot is having a sale Ego's single battery self-propelled lawn mowers.  The steel deck mower is now $100 cheaper.  Remember when I stated that Ego is probably holding back information on the new dual battery mower because of their stock of single battery mowers that they want to sell, especially the steel deck self-propelled mower that cost the same as the new dual battery mower.  Now finally after they are disclosing the information on the new dual battery lawn mower they are now discounting the steel deck lawn mower which is less powerful, but originally cost the same as the dual battery mower.  Like I said before, that makes good business sense.

Sorry, I made a mistake.  I looked at the non self-propelled steel deck lawn mower by mistake.

For those of us with plenty of battery power for a single mowing maybe add mass to the system to go into full speed mode?
