I have now used my Ego mower, 12" string trimmer, and blower 21 weeks in a row without one bit of problem and with every piece of equipment working exactly as it should even with the Houston area heat and humidity. I couldn't be happier with my decision to purchase Ego equipment. My lawn looks great, I'm getting some exercise, and I'm not writing a check every week to a lawn service.

Not only that, no gas, fumes or much noise. I fully understand that gas tools will give you great service the first few years. The difference really shows its ugly head when you take your tools out of winter storage. Man, I don't miss the pull string aggravation one bit. My only gas tool is my industrial pressure washer with a Honda Engine. It's an awesome piece that probably won't ever get replaced with a battery, unfortunately.

Likewise Tim!
Only difference for me is, instead of paying, I'm saving myself the enormous hassle of dealing with an extension cord.
On a small property like mine I can litterally do my lawn in half the time when untangling and then winding up that cord is no longer required. Not counting, of course, the time it takes to charge the battery. :-)

my mower is in it's second year and going strong. No gas or oil and best of all no annual maintenance required. That old Toro was costing me about $150 a year to keep it running and finally it just would not start. however, the weakest part of the Ego is the blade and i hope the company is working on a replacement.

I check my mower blade every so often and haven't noted any problems. I am planning on purchasing a new blade during the off season and will most likely install a new blade before the start of every mowing season.
