20" mower shuts down every 2-10 second.

I have a 2 year old 20" mower: it ran like a champ the past two years, however this spring it began to shut down every 2-10 seconds. I have checked to see the blade is sharp and while it could use to be sharpened I don't believe this is the issue, the blade rotates and the motor makes no unusual noises and rotates easily, the battery charges properly and is FULL and is clipped properly. It quits whether pushing or pulling. I've called customer service and taken the machine to home depot for repair in they spent brief time and couldnt get the problem to repeat. It will run longer when the machine is cold, but after maybe 5 minutes of cutting grass it starts shutting down, always starts right back up, but shuts down quicker with every restart. Anyone else having this issue? I found a post from a year ago, but can't get any feedback from those threads....

This just a guess. Some of the mowers had a small motor cooling fanĀ  mounted at the top of the blade shaft. Take a look, and see if might be plugged up. It sounds like an overheating issue.. You will have to look past the hole at the top of the blade shaft.

Thanks, the mower is at home depot with the service tech on vacation until the 23rd, but when he can look at the mower again I'll tell him to check that.
