I know this has been beaten to death, but.... I'm still confused by conflicting answers.
I have 2 chargers mounted to my garage wall. I normally put the batteries into the chargers  to charge fully and then UNPLUG the chargers but keep the batteries in them until I need them in a few days. Is this an ok practice? (I do keep store them in the basement during freezing months.

That’s fine Ken. The smarts to put the battery into storage mode are located in the battery itself, so that action is taken regardless of whether the battery is in a tool or charger, or just sitting on a shelf.
